Data we process

Data you provide voluntarily when you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp or send a booking request: name, contact details, dates of stay, number of guests and any messages.

Browsing data: as with any website, the systems running this site record some technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) needed for the service to work securely.

Purposes and legal bases

Answering your requests and managing your booking: pre-contractual measures and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Complying with legal obligations related to your stay, such as reporting guest details to the Italian police authorities and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Keeping the website secure and working properly: the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention

Requests that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as needed to reply, and in any case for no more than 12 months. Data about stays is kept for the period required by tax and public-security regulations.

Recipients and transfers

Data may be processed by providers that help us run the website and communications, appointed as data processors: HOSTKEY B.V. (website hosting, on servers in Italy), Neon Inc. (database) and Aruba S.p.A. (email). If you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, that service is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. under its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers may transfer data outside the European Union on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Your rights

You can at any time request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing and data portability, or object to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), by writing to info@il-calibro.it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
